Judge Reginald P. Cogsworth (played by Jim Sharp), a curmudgeon who hates sweets, is judging a charity bakeoff, albeit grudgingly. Countless entries have been whittled down to three desserts from a raspberry treat baked by Lucy "Scooter" Bright, owner of a nail salon and well-known tart; a cake from the Depression-era baked by Edna Mae Carter (played by Jane Cox), the old maid librarian; to a rich chocolate torte created by Margaret Mason (played by Frann Carnivele-Sidlow), local society lady. But when someone drops dead in the middle of the tasting, it is up to the audience to solve the crime...

With dinner and dessert included, this makes for one sweet evening.
